She ToldMe is a very useful site to use to create backlinks (links back to your HubPages articles). It is also a potential source of revenue as you get 100% of the adsense revenue if anyone clicks on the adverts on the page that displays your link. The link you create with a brief description is called a ‘Scoop’ on She ToldMe. It also performs well in the google search engine rankings and may help you in your quest to be on the front page!
I have created this hub because a friend I have made on hubpages, joined She ToldMe with a link from one of my other hubs and was having a little difficulty getting started. I sent her some info, the basis for this hub - and she has now created her first backlink! Good luck with your backlinks and may your traffic come forth and multiply!

Take a look at the site, you will see how easy it is if you have a few hubs on a similar topic to create a Best Review. For example, I just created my first review today, I have written three hubs on different brands of candles so, I was easily able to turn this into a Top 3 Review, and get a link back to each of my three hubs from one little bookmark! So simple, so effective and really genius.

How To Create Backlinks
You need to create an account before you start – Join She Told Me here - and this is a simple process where you add your details and your adsense account code. Your account will be authorised by a person. That may take a day or so but once it is approved, you will receive an email and can get started.
When you log in, you come to a screen with Welcome and your username.
Under this is ‘add a link / publish a story’, so click this to add a link to the HubPages Hub you want to create a backlink to.
If you know about html you can refer to She Told Me Tools – for the rest of us, this is the way I do it!
What you have to do first, is enter in the URL of your HubPages article. Open a new browser window and log into your HubPages account. Go to the actual HubPages article you want to link and copy the URL from the very top of your computer's screen (your browser window) which has the URL in the format. If you do not do this and choose instead to use the ‘share’ button and the ‘link to this article’ button at the bottom of your HubPages article, you MUST take out the URL TRACKER from the URL generated there. If you do not take out the tracker, She Told Me will NOT accept the URL of your HubPage (this was the mistake I made when I first tried to link Hub Pages articles from She Told Me and I couldn't get it to work!).
Now you put in your 'Scoop title' this can be exactly the same as your hub pages title, or you can change it. Ideally it should be not more than 60 characters in length to avoid the end of the title getting chopped off when it is displayed in the Google Search Rankings.
Now you put in a brief description of your article. Try to get in the title and the 'key' keywords of your article (what you consider to be the most important of the tags you used on that article on hubpages). Your description must be at least 200 characters long. But don’t use exactly the same wording as the introduction on your HubPages article.
Then you choose the most relevant category from the drop-down list – I think you will find this self-explanatory!
Then you put in your keywords, separated by commas (you are allowed five keywords but these do not need to be single words), choose the ones from your tags on HubPages and if you have used the Google Adsense Keyword Tool, you will probably have already chosen the best ones for this purpose.
That is all you need to enter, so you can then hit the ‘preview’ button, if like me you are not sure that you have done it right! If you are confident, you can hit the send button.
This is basically how all these sites work when you post links and I have found a big increase in my traffic since I started doing it.
One funny thing about she told me is that when you have submitted your article link it shows as 'queued' this doesn't mean what it sounds like, the link is visible to visitors on the site, can be clicked on by those who want to view your article and there is an explanation in the FAQ/HELP section on the right hand side of the page.

thanks for your comment snowislandhigh. With regard to SheToldMe, when you create a post on She ToldMe, called a 'Scoop', that Scoop gets a specific page on She ToldMe. There are adverts up to three adsense ads. on that page including a large one nearest to the title of your post. This one has your adsense id attached to it and you earn 100% of the adsense revenue from that ad. It is all explained on this page http://shetoldme.com/100-adsense-revenue-sharing

Just a quick question, but when the website says 100% revenue share program does that mean they don't take any commission out of the money you get from Google adsense?

Teresa, I hope you get the problem sorted out soon - I would think you have it correctly set up or it would not be showing in adsense. I have just checked my analytics stats and it is showing recent impressions from She Told Me.
I joined SheToldMe recently too (just told you in a comment on another hub of yours that I recently joined RedGage) and it all seems fine on SheToldMe except that my Adsense impressions are showing as 0. Can't figure it out. James of SheToldMe did a good job of trying to help me via a few emails this afternoon, but I still can't figure out what's wrong. Everything is right on the SheToldMe side of things, so I must have added the channel incorrectly (to my Adsense account) - can't figure out what I've done wrong though as have no problems with my other Adsense channels - including both my own sites and sites I belong to. When I say 0 impressions I don't mean it's not even showing up in my Adsense channels, because it is showing up - it just shows "0 impressions" even when I know I've had impressions due to a few of my hubs receiving traffic from SheToldMe. Oh well, will spend more time figuring it out soon enough I guess :)
Hi TattoGuy, I agree with the traffic from Reddit and the lack of traffic at the moment from She ToldMe - however, I am persevering because of the value of the link and the good Google ranking of some of the hubs I have bookmarked with She ToldMe. (I am getting more adsense revenue from Xomba).
I am actually getting nothing back from Shetoldme and i have bookmarked about 120 hubs, I get more success and even links from Reddit, good hub btw.

Hi LaMamaLoli, There are a couple of things here, if you think of a queued bookmark on She ToldMe as being the same as a hub on hub pages, if enough people voted for it, it would become featured (in the same way a really popular hubpage gets on the front page here on hubpages). With regard to traffic, I am actually getting more traffic at the moment from Xomba with the same number of bookmarks posted so I really cannot answer that - I guess it just depends on how popular the topic of your bookmark is. I would persevere just for the high value backlink from She ToldMe that would boost my actual hub's rankings in the search engines and make it easier to find.
I have submitted to hubs to shetold me, but they are all queued. I appreciate they are still visible, but when do they get published???! And I have had virtually no traffic from it. Do you need to be very active on the site to get traffic? I have little time so haven't really spent any being active there, and to be honest don't want to unless it will guarantee me traffic. Help!!
I don't know that shetoldme could made us HUGE. Actually I am become a member of Shetoldme but not too active. I start again from now. Thank you very much. You are my inspiration. Thumbs up for you!

Hi Lamme, I am no expert on this, it might be worth asking in the forums or asking Ryankett as his name appears as the top referrer on She ToldMe! I would say that the crucial thing is to include your main keyword(s)/keyword phrase(s) in your description, make sure that these keywords are added as tags and ensure that you do not duplicate content from your Hub or other webpage by copying and pasting but create an original description. Obviously the purpose of the description you include is to make readers want to find out more by going to your hub - giving too much information in a longer description might defeat the object?
Thanks for the advice. I realize the description can be anywhere from 200 to 5,000 characters ... is there any benefit to making the description longer?

This hub by Ryankett confirms that xomba starts out as dofollow but after a few months, reverts to nofollow. http://hubpages.com/hub/www_xomba_com As far as I am aware She ToldMe is Dofollow but Ryankett would be sure to confirm this for you. Hi Steve, thanks for your comment - I know what you mean about information overload! I got some very good advice from top Hubber Mark Knowles - he said 'Don't try and absorb everything all on one go. Take your time ...' I think patience is the key, and 'baby steps' is good!
Thanks for the advice, I am still struggling with traffic and how to manage it. I have had some luck with some of the tools, but find that there is so much to know and so few brain cells left. Confusion usually wins out at the end of the day, however, after several days and many hubs, I am able to take baby steps forward. I am grateful for the hubs like these that keep the discussion going.

Hi Vera, thanks for letting me know, you should be able to tell in your Hub stats and, if you have Google Analytics, you will be able to check your traffic sources there too. All the best with it. My adsense earnings this week have mostly come from my postings on Xomba, not the articles on Hubpages that I was linking to - so who knows?! As you say, it is a lot of fun!
