HubPages The Next Step, Three Things You Need To Start Earning Money Online

HubPages is a brilliant place to earn money online. HubPages gives Hubbers a fantastic publishing platform that enables everyone to get a real head-start in the Google rankings with their Hubs. The Learning Center is a tremendous resource, other Hubbers are really helpful and their content is a continuously growing educational resource for everyone. So, what do you do if you want to branch out from HubPages and start earning on the Internet, outside of HubPages as well – where do we go from here, what is the next step?

If you are new to internet marketing and you are trying to start earning money online, it can be very difficult to know how to get started. There is so much information out there and so much of it is misinformation and this makes it almost impossible for a ‘newbie’ to sort the wheat from the chaff.

You can end up going down a lot of blind alleys!

What can end up happening is that you try lots of different things in your quest for the elusive first affiliate commission or payout from Google Adsense.

This soaks up a lot of your time, going down one blind alley after another when one internet ‘Guru’ after another promises much and delivers nothing! The end result of all this is that after maybe six months, you have tried lots of things, got totally confused and spent a lot of money – for nothing!

The fundamental thing about earning online is this, you have to LEARN before you EARN! I believe that everyone who is new to internet marketing needs someone who is already successful, already ‘walking the walk’ not just ‘talking the talk’ to mentor them – but personal coaching can be prohibitively expensive.

Personal Video Responses to Questions to Show You How, if You Get Stuck!

The links to any online resources needed to complete a task are right there on the site too which means you are never searching around for how to do something. If you get stuck, there are forums with easy to understand responses – and if you get really stuck, you ask a question in the ‘Help’ section and you will get a video made for you, showing you exactly what to do in response.

For example, I did not understand how to set up an email address for my website (i.e. an email address with my website name – for example me@mysite.com instead of me@gmail.com or similar) – I put in my question and the same day, I got back a video showing me step by step how to set up and configure Mozilla Thunderbird so that I can access my emails for my website from my desktop – fantastic service and, as I said, just like having your own, personal mentor but without the personal coaching price-tag!

Another great feature of the site is the 'Shape Your Destiny' course. I guess if you ask anyone who has been earning a living online for a while, they will tell you that sometimes it is tough, sometimes it is very tough and that you need motivation and support sometimes, just to keep going and get through those tough times.

Outside of Hubpages, you need to have a website (or several websites) and you need to know how to set them up correctly and you need to know how to promote them so people can find your webpages.

You need to have a product or service to sell that people will want to pay money for so that you can start earning online. This can either be an affiliate product which could be an information product or a physical product (like we promote Amazon products here on Hubpages), or if you really want to build your own, online income, create your own product or service.

You need to build your list, you need to build a list of subscribers who will buy your product or service and to whom you can market further products or services in the future.
