Christening Gifts For Boys, My Top Baptism Presents

The Christening gifts for boys in my selection have been researched by me from the wide range of christening gifts or baptism gifts available online. I have made my selections on the basis of quality, interest and value for money. I have chosen diverse gifts, some with a Christian, Religious theme, others that could be given by someone who does not share the Christian Faith but who nevertheless wants to give a gift to recognize a baby’s Christening as an important day, not only in the life of the baby, but in the lives of his parents and godparents.

The Christian tradition of giving presents to a new baby probably originates with the gold, frankincense and Myrrh given to the infant Jesus in the Christmas Story. Christening gifts were originally items that were thought to be of value, that would increase in value with time and perhaps form the basis of an investment for the child in the future.  There was a tradition of giving Apostle Spoons to a baby began in the time of the Tudors in England and this may be where the phrase ‘he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth’ originated.  So, whatever Christening gift you choose for a new baby, you can be sure that you are continuing a tradition that has existed for many centuries and your gift, given with love, is sure to be treasured.

This is a really lovely gift for keeping Baby’s Baptism and Birth Certificate safely together. The Silver plated tube is 2” in diameter and 9” in length and each of the beaded end caps are embossed with a cross.

This gift has so much in it, it is hard to know where to start.  First of all, it is a very useful gift for any mom but it will make bathtime great fun for baby too.

I really love the Mud Pie ‘Classic Keepsakes’ range of gifts, this silver plated rattle is no exception.  The detail is beautiful with an embossed cross and pretty bead details.  All beautifully packaged in an acetate box and decorated with a bow.  The rattle is four inches long and each of the ends are two inches in diameter.
