Archipelago Soy Candles come in four main collections, the Archipelago Botanicals candles are branded AB and come in a large and small size, hand-poured soy candle. The other collections are Excursion Soy Candles, Private Reserve Soy Candles and Signature Soy Candles. I have done quite a bit of research on these lovely candles prior to writing this hub and have found them at a great price online.

The Archipelago Botanicals brand is designed on the premise of creating beautiful, natural products to help people to relax and unwind from their busy schedules. In essence, all the Archipelago products are designed to pamper us – so give in to a little indulgence and spoil yourself, safe in the knowledge that the natural soy wax has a clean burn and will last a long time, making it economical as well as luxurious. The combination of soy wax and metal-free wicks are safe for you and the environment and the fragrance will create the mood you are looking for in whichever room you choose to light your candle.

Archipelago soy wax candles are easy to use, just trim the wick to about ¼” before lighting the candle.  Burning your candles for periods of around two hours will help them burn longer and more evenly.  Extinguish your candle with a snuffer or candle extinguisher rather than blowing it out (never use water) and always allow your candle to cool and the wax to solidify again before relighting.

In my online research, I found that Archipelago Soy Candles got great customer reviews. I was interested to read in one review that some candle manufacturers seem to put the most highly fragranced wax in the top one inch or so but Archipelago candles can be relied upon to be consistent throughout the whole candle. Another reviewer wrote that out of all the scented candle brands she had tried, Archipelago Soy candles were the only ones that did not give her a headache.

Each 14 oz Archipelago Soy Candle in the Archipelago Botanicals Home Collection is designed to burn for at least 90 hours which I think represents amazing value for money at only about 30 cents an hour! That’s not many cents for your scent! Each hand poured candle contains more that 50% natural soy wax. If you are buying the candle as a gift, it is nice to know that each one comes complete in a beautiful gift box.

The Archipelago Botanicals Excursion Soy Candles Collection all have names of exotic places and travel destinations (and maybe not so exotic as I notice one called Stonehenge which is just up the road from where I live and is maybe romantic, but definitely not exotic!).

These wonderful candles are all hand poured and made of only the finest, premium wax blend containing more than 50% natural soy wax (some candles in the range, more than 60%) and a safe lead-free wick. All of which makes them burn longer and more cleanly and the average burn time for each of these 9.5 oz candles is approximately 60 hours. The fragrance for each is complex, made from blends of concentrated essential oils which give a delightful room filling aroma. My favourite candle in this range is Positano and the aroma of this is a delicious blend of persimmon, pomegranate and white nectarine.

The Archipelago Botanicals Private Reserve Collection really is, in my opinion something special.  The first thing you notice is the unusual and stylish black on black graphic design which echoes the brand’s LA roots.  The black glass candle holder is also sleek and stylish and the candles themselves are unusual in that the fragrances for each of the five candles in the range have been hand-picked by the creators of the Archipelago brand and made with high end essences not often found in retail products.  The fragrances are unusual and complex and well worth the extra expense.  One of these candles would certainly make a great gift.

Each candle weighs 8.64 oz (245 grams) and burns for approximately 55 hours.

The Archipelago Botanicals Signature Collection Soy Candles get fantastic reviews online. Many of the fragrances particularly appeal to men too, like the Bergamot Tobacco and all give a full bodied, clean scented home filling aroma.
