Blackhead Removal For Men

By

Whilst it may not be all that amazing to learn that men get blackheads too, it is good to learn that blackhead removal for men is now very easy to take care by using an effective and inexpensive, simple mud face mask!

A mud face mask is the best type for the job of removing blackheads. This is brilliant for both men and women and will give your skin a really deep clean. It not only removes all the debris and impurities from deep down in the follicles (pores) of your skin, but it also gets rid of all those dead skin cells that have not been sloughed off from the surface of your skin and which are causing your complexion to look lifeless and dull. As it deep cleans, the mud mask blots up the excess sebum and leaves skin feeling fresh, soft, clean and comforted.

For men’s skin, using a mud mask will have an added benefit for the problem of ingrown hairs. The way the mask works to exfoliate the skin and unclog the pores makes it a very effective way of combating this irritating problem.

Get Great-Looking Skin

Before using a mask on your skin, you must cleanse your face thoroughly first. If your blackheads are particularly troublesome or your skin is very oily, it is a good idea to steam your face first. This is really easy to do, you do not have to have any special equipment, just a large bowl containing some previously boiled water and a towel large enough to cover your head and the bowl as you lean over to steam your face. Using the towel as a sort of ‘tent’, will trap all the steam inside and make the process more effective. Be sure to keep your skin several inches from the surface of the water to avoid burning your nose! By steaming your face, you are giving the mask a head-start by opening the pores so that it can work even more effectively.

Don't Get In A Mess!

To apply the mask you should spread it thinly over your face and jaw-line, taking care to avoid the very delicate skin around the eyes. Some packs come with a spatula for spreading but using your fingers is fine – just make sure they are really clean and that you have some paper towels to wipe them on afterwards so you do not have to touch the taps to get water to wash them – otherwise you just make yourself another job and you are supposed to be relaxing now!

Relax!

The best way to ensure that you get the full benefit from your mud mask is to set some time aside when you are not going to be disturbed, when you will not be wanting to eat or drink for around half an hour and you can safely switch off your phone so you do not have to talk to anyone either! Now chill out in your favourite armchair and listen to some nice relaxing music. Try not to move your facial muscles during the time that the mask is drying out – this will lessen its effectiveness, cause it to crack and make you look like an extra from a horror movie!

After the time stated on the pack of the face mask you have chosen (usually around ten minutes but some are left on as long as twenty minutes), remove it using warm water (not hot as this will open your pores again). It is easiest to do if you have a soft washcloth that you can rinse out as you go. Just remember that in order to avoid your waste pipe silting up under the bathroom sink from the clay residue you wash down, run the tap for a few minutes after you finish.

Just One Treatment A Week May Be All You Need

Once all traces of the mask have been removed, just pat your skin gently to dry it and apply an oil-free moisturiser to leave your skin feeling soft and smooth. As most men want to have great looking skin but do not want to have to spend too much time messing about with different lotions and potions or a complicated skin-care routine, using a mud mask is a great way to keep your skin looking great and free from blackheads as you only need to use it once (or at most, twice) a week – using it more often will be counter-productive as it will just make your skin feel too dry.

Trmsd, I guess that is the same principle as those Biore pore strips as they are sticky too! Mailing tape sounds a bit hard on the skin - but I guess whatever works for you!

i use that clear mailing tape and just put it on my face. when i peel it off, i see tons of dry skin, pimples, scars, etc come onto the tape.
