Drive traffic to your HubPages - How To Use IMautomator To Automate Link Submissions
75Take Advantage of the Free Version of IMAutomator!
IMAutomator is free to join and autosubmits your Links, Backlinks and Bookmarks for you. Branded as a social bookmarking tool, you enter the URL you want to bookmark and if you don’t want to do anything else, IMAutomator will extract the title, description and tags for you. I prefer to do my own but even so, you set it up and it autosubmits to fifteen social bookmarking sites on its list for you (If you choose to pay a monthly subscription, IMAutomator will submit your bookmarks to all of the sites on its list which is being constantly updated to weed out sites where submissions are failing).
With the free version, you just get ten bookmark submissions per day but this is so quick and easy to do, it is well worth the effort.
It gives you the opportunity to decide whether you would prefer to submit all your links at once or over time (varying time periods are offered on the submit form). Apparently, because Google has refined its ranking algorithm to such a degree that it is no longer a case of simply throwing as many backlinks as possible to the target page and there are benefits from this ‘drip feed’ system. Caroline Middlebrook of IMAutomator explains that The Google spider not only looks at the links, but also looks at the way links are coming in. Google prefers what she calls ‘natural links’ which means that links to a particular page do not all come in a great rush but come over a period of time from many different sources. Google gives these ‘natural links’ more credit and so this ‘drip-feed’ method is the preferred one at IMAutomator. Caroline explains it like this “Let's say you have a website about Persian cats and you write a great article about a new technique for grooming your Persian cat in the winter time. This article is read and you start to find that other website owners such as bloggers write about your article and link to it. Some readers might bookmark at their favourite social bookmarking site. Others may tweet about it, Stumble it and so it goes on. These are what are called 'natural' links.”
If you are creating links to a brand new site you might want to submit more links, more quickly. Or if are writing about something new, perhaps something which has just happened in the news, then you might want more immediate attention as if there is a huge volume of links on a particular new topic, the relevant article could get pushed further up the rankings for a while if Google sees this as a ‘Hot Trend’.
Because these are all links to social networking sites, IMAutomator sets up all the accounts for you so it is all managed in one place.
I have found that using my HubPages URL for a Hub I have created works but that including my URL tracker has caused them to fail. I do not know if this is universal or if I have just been unlucky (I have only been using IMAutomator for a few days). However, when I have edited the URL and removed the tracker, it has worked fine and links to my Blog and Website have also worked fine.
As I said, the free version of IMAutomator allows you to submit some bookmarks each day, the full (paid) version gives so much more with RSS submissions, Article Submissions and a Directory Submitter. There is also a very cool tool that enables you to resubmit bookmarks to any sites that are new to IMA since you made the original submission.
Anyone who has joined for the free version will be able to submit bookmarks for free to a restricted number of sites (probably about 15) but the full functionality of the site will only be available to paid members.
Well worth a try as it costs nothing! By the way, just for clarity, I have no connection with IMAutomator or Caroline Middlebrook am not on any sort of commission for writing this article and am submitting it to HubPages only because I am glad to have something to share with all those who have provided helpful hubs that have really helped me! This is the website address, I am not posting it as a link so that you can see that I am not using it as a referral tool (address is www dot imautomator dot com). I would be interested to receive your feedback and find out how you get on.

Very helpful article about IMautomator you wrote here.
I have a question - I joined IMautmtr and put a link of an article.
After several days the the site said it has enter my link into 'URLORGANIZER'.
I check the 'URLORGANIZER' but did not see my link there!
If IMautomator did their job then I should see my article in 'URLORGANIZER' (like I can see my article in digg.com when i put a link into it), am I right?
With the recent G's update, do you think they won't clamp down on these sites?
I see. Even so, it's the easiest free online site submission I've found. I use it as a matter of course whenever I write an article or post. I haven't seen any of their submissions indexed on webmaster tools yet, but will stick at it for a while.
Thanks for the article. The free submitter submits to 11 sites by the looks. I don't think I've ever had all 11 successfully submit though.
Another excellent hub! Really enjoy reading it.
Hi Al, this is yet another well laid out and hot piece coming from your stables.
Just learning of this tool, my question is how do you bypass "CAPTCHA" Using this tool, especially when submitting links to reddit?
Thanks as I look forward to reading more interesting hubs from you
Hello there. thank you for this blog it really open my understanding. Keep up the good job
Hi Alison,
You have done an excellent job and provided great information that will help lots of people.

Thank you soo much this info helped alot!! Im still new at hubs but this makes it so much better :)
hey thanks for sharing.. i signed up and ready to use imautomator
Alison-- this is excellent, I prefer personally ot manually submit my links, old fashioned I suspect, but then I feel I know where the links are going... but this has given me cause to think.
Hello Alison, I use a few different sites including RedGage to link back to my sites. I will give this one a go and see how I make out. Thank you for the great read and information. Sharing is always good and this one looks like a golden nugget.
Hi Alison, thanks for the great info. in your hub. I am going to try this out and I will let you know how the results turn out. By the way, I feel that although you did report about this online feature before it became a finished product, you performed a good civil deed in advising about its probable potential, which in turn allows for individuals to discover whether or not a new product is a good fit for their needs. Great Job!!
Alison,
Great tool; thanks for sharing it. Pretty new to all this and nuggets of information from people like yourself are really useful and appreciated.
I love IMAutomator, it is my favorite tool I use now. Thanks Alison for spreading the word about this great tool. I know a lot of people will find it helpful.
I just wanted to say that I started using them so thank-you and it is still free 10 links perday
thank-you for the advice I am going to check it out and see if I can still get in!!!
Hi Alison, very nice and informative review of IMAutomator. I have been using the free version for a few months and I feel it has helped with some ranking. Still torn about upgrading to the paid version when places are available. Do you think it is worth approx £17/month?
Good Stuff! Thank you
really enjoyed reading this hub very informative
THANKS
Will do.
Thanks for this Alison. I'm trying it.
IMautomator is an article marketer's dream come true, but I still use StumbleUpon, Digg, and Facebook.
Wow. Great hub! Packed like the mail truck on Christmas Day.
i am surely gonna try , after reading this
and will back here in few days
Hi Alison, thanks for sharing a great resource.
I've just signed on! I simply don't have the time to bookmark all over the place, so hopefully this will improve things for me.
I do have a question for you, though. Are you using the paid service? If so, do you think you're getting your money's worth? The reason I ask is that I'm just juggling the numbers right now as I don't really have that much to spend on online services.
Thank you, Alison. This is very interesting, and I'm going to give it a try. I particularly liked your explanation of the drip submission technique.
This is a great find, Alison. I hate doing social bookmarking because of all the accounts you have to create. I think this is the first tool I've seen where you don't have to bother with all of that. Two thumbs up! :)
GOing to try this out right now! Thanks!
I guess I should use this automated software.I really don't find time to bookmark my hubs-so, far I've bookmarked only less than 10 percent of my hubs. Thanks for the link,I will do the same for you.thanks :)
I didn't know about this submitter, thanks for the information
Hi- Thank you so much. You have made my day. Maybe I will have some luck and will do better. I will look for your hubs Alison. Good luch with your writing.
Alison, what a great piece of information you provided here. I will check this out immediately, In my estimation any link I did not have before is a positive thing. I look forward to future information from you.
Thanks Alison! I find backlinking a huge bore and don't do nearly enough of it. The good thing about HubPages is that they do well with or without backlinking, but I'm sure they would do better if I did!
I signed up. Thanks for the info. It seems easy to use.
I haven't really heard of any sites they submit to-- but a backlink is a backlink.
A very handy tool - I was totally unfamiliar with it
useful stuff - thanks
great tip alison, thank you :)
hey im samkitty and i just opened my newest 2 hub pages.and i really apreceate your help with your hub.thanks
smart hub thought great read thanks

You are right, the 'free' version has now been re-designated 'light' and users are charged $2.99 per month.
Unfortunately, there are always scammers who try to game the system and spoil things for everyone else - Caroline found one user with 24 'free' accounts so she had to do something!
I think $2.99 is an affordable and sensible solution to the problem!
